Leadership Essentials
Leadership Essentials builds personal character and personal skills in those who want to make a difference. This is done through discovery, development and application.
You will discover the person God created you to be: your gifts, personality, tendencies, strengths, and more.
You will develop who you are and learn influencing skills through information, assessments, application and coaching.
You will apply what you learn in practical ways right where you are.
Leadership Essentials is taught in 3 modules (2 days each) with application assignments between modules.
Module One:
1. Introduction to Christian Servant Leadership
2. Personality types with assessment
3. Developing Intimacy and Alignment with God
4. Whole-Life Stewardship
5. Spiritual Gifts with assessment
6. The Challenges of Christian Servant Leadership
Module Two:
1. Review and coaching on previous assignments
2. Organizational Systems and Understanding the Church
3. Effectively Creating Change
4. Conflict Styles with assessment
5. Healthy Teams with assessment
6. The Emotionally Healthy Person
Module Three:
1. Review and coaching on previous assignments
2. Personal Integrity and Church Ethics
3. Living in Step with the Holy Spirit
4. Understanding the Church as Relationships
5. Going forward — What do I do now?
6. Final Challenge and Graduation (Certificate presented to all who complete requirements)
Leadership Essentials is…
- Based on Biblical principles and research based criteria
- Designed for transformation not simply information
- Format:
- Content presentation about a topic
- Assessment to discover how the participant currently functions
- Coaching and workshop experience to process the content and assessments
- Create a strategy with goals to work on for six months
- Participants return to the next module for training in additional topics as well as reporting, evaluating and coaching on previous assignments
- 50% teaching, 30% assessments, 20% coaching with interactive learning
- The participants will build a notebook of personal assessments, training information, plans/strategies/goals as a foundation for the future
