Leadership Essentials Overview

Two modules/ Six months

Leadership Essentials track introduces the participations to the six disciplines of leadership.  It is designed for both lay and pastor. 

 Module One:

 A leader is a servant:  (4 hours) The leader is exposed to the Biblical understanding of servant leadership.  Acquaints the leader with the challenges of leadership and identifies their leadership style.

A leader is a steward:  (4 hours) Introduces the leader to the principles of stewarding time, talents, and treasurer. 

A Leader is growing Spiritually: (4 hours) Exposes the leader to the spiritual disciplines of prayer, fasting, journaling, and listening.  Persons are challenged to spend a half-day in prayer and journal the results.

Module Two:

 A Leader is self defined in conflict and change (4 hours) Leaders are called to manage change.  How a leader functions in change can determine the lasting effects of change.  In this session persons are introduced to the dynamics of change and how to remain self-defined in the midst of change.

 A Leader is a person of Integrity (4 hours) A Leader’s influence will only go as far as their character.  In this session leaders are alerted how to prevent a relationship from beginning as a professional one and deteriorating into a “sexualized” relationship.

 A Leader is active in a healthy CHURCH (4 hours) This session outlines the characteristics of a Biblical functioning church.  It also exposes the leader to the need and dynamic of biblical functioning community.
